Your car looks great John. A couple of questions:
Are those Porsche "sill" plate type things standard fit? I have never seen those before. I much prefer them to the full sill plates you can get - and this ugly bit of plastic is the part on mine that gets scuffed anyway!
Also, any tips on getting your engine/bay so clean? I am always mightily impressed by engine bays such as yours! Whats the best way of getting the metal so nice? Any tips with regard to best procedure are welcome. Mine never looks that clean - I am beginning to think that a black car will never look so nice under the bonnet as a white car does - it might always look dingy due to the colour.
Cheers,
Dave

The sill plates are Porsche 944 accessories I bought years ago: they're now on their third car. They seem to have vanished from the marketplace, but perhaps a junkyard could find a pair. They last forever: a quick touchup with emery paper removes accumulated scratches. They're held in place with double-faced foam tape.
The engine compartment looks cleaner than it is. I had just replaced the injector rail cover with a new one (quite inexpensive- roughly $65.00 US) , and also recently painted the intake manifold with hi-temp aluminum spray paint. For the most part I applied it with paper towels!
Oh, and one other 'beauty tip' I learned when someone backed into one of my clear foglamps: over time they get very abraded from road dirt. Replacing them does a lot for the appearance of the car- see 1st and 5th photos.
