The previous owner of my car cheaped out ($70 price differential) and bought a "uro" upper radiator hose. URO does not = Euro, more likely cheap chinese stuff.
The shape "sucked". The last straight bit before bending back to the radiator outlet was so close to the alternator pulley that there were obvious witness marks where the hose was rubbing against the pulley.
I threw the piece of crap away and installed Porsche OEM.
Much better fit.

I did my hoses on the Matador project car. I was shocked to find the retail on the upper hose is now $161 and $186 for the lower. I contacted FCP Euro and they sent me the URO hoses. I didn't have an issue with them. I installed the sleeve on the lower hose. No issues at this point.

Jeff, glad it worked out for you.
The URO upper hose on my car was of a decidedly different shape than the porsche one. Perhaps the PO had installed the wrong hose??

I tried a URO power steering line. It was cr@p - no way was it going to fit. Sent it back and went with OEM.
