Default 944 Carpet Kit in a 968?

Will an AppBiz Carpet Kit for a 944 fit in a 968? My carpet is roached and the guy at Appbiz said it should fit but I plan on doing the RS rear seat delete as well and wanna make sure before I plop down the money on a kit that it will fit. Does anyone know if the 944 and 968 carpets are the same or at least close to the same?
Thanks

My research leads me to believe that they are the same EXCEPT for the truck area where the spare tire hump differs.

Not verified...just by comparison of photos/etc.

Someone else may have hands-on experience that can be conveyed here.

Agree with Jay's assessment. I have both (944 and 968) and passenger space will be fine. Hatch area does differ slightly for spare tire, and hatch carpet even varies from early to late 968's on how it mounts. Early uses snaps, late 968's use velcro mounts.

Ok I have snaps as well. Sounds like it will fit well enough to replace my old carpet that’s just smoked. Bummer is I have a tan interior and he only has black and charcoal so I may be converting the interior completely.

According to Jeff Coe, change took place in July 1993 for 1994.5 model year - so very late production.

Been thinking about dropping a factory 968 rear carpet in my 924S.. mine is quite bald these days. I'm assuming that'll work as well...

You can use it but you won't be able to store your spare wheel. the flaps that cover the wheel cubbyholes might not be the exact same shape and the carpet may be a different pile.

They are close. Been a while dont remember the exact details, maybe around the footwells, humps for fuel filler, etc.

Dont think there is any way to separate the lower dash from the upper dash, its one big piece of steel under the molded rubber and vinyl. It does appear to be two distinct pieces until you pull away the *****, buttons, etc... and you will see that the upper and lower sections are all one big piece of steel. Keep an eye on another thread on dashes as some are preparing to use the dash repair company in CA. Cant wait to hear some feedback and prices. Their process looks nice and they even have some photos of a previous black airbag dash they repaired that look amazing.

Good to know I'll look for that thread and worst case I may dye it or something but my entire dash needs to be replaced because the top is cracking really bad.
