Dash cover? Where to find a new dash or solutions to fix?
So my 968 lived out in the sun for a while and the top of the dash is destroyed. It bugs the crap out of me and I'd love to find another dash but I haven't seen many for sale, any solutions or fixes for this that you have had good luck with?
A year or so ago I bought a dark blue 968 dash with no crack or any other damage or blemishes here on Rennlist’s parts market place. I paid around $700 for it including shipping from FL to NC.
I recently had it dyed to a two tone black and marble grey by a specialist here in CLT. He did a great job. I paid $300 for the color change.
I am planning to install it in my ‘94 968 with cracked dash during the Thanksgiving week when my son will be home from college and able to help.
Hopefully I will soon have an as new crackles dash in my car for my $1000 spend. Not sure if this good or bad relative to ‘market’.
I am looking forward to not seeing a cracked dash.
Kind of hijacking, but I have an OEM dash that was dyed to black that I need to have installed. Once I do that, is there any want for the old dash, i.e. to get repaired to put in another car? If so, I could be persuaded to go ahead and get mine installed and see if we can make a deal on it. Honestly the one in my car isn't bad at all and it doesn't really bother me much.

Pull the dash, send it in. While it is out, replace all you dash light bulbs. Even think about replacing the plastic odometer gear. It will break sooner or later anyway...
My $0.02 cents anyway...

Absolutely. The lights on the dash are pretty dim as it is. Is there an LED kit for that? I know other cars I've owned had some aftermarket support for that but the 968 is about 100 times more rare than a Mustang.
