My first post!

I just purchased a black metallic 11/1991 968 coupé with the 'inset' hood crest. The strange thing is that the car didn't come with the rear badge at all.
I know that the regular black 968 rear badge is easy to find, but heard from the Finnish porsche importer that some of the 968's possibly came with a chrome/silver rear badge. So, do you guys know if such a badge has even existed, and if so, could you please give me the part # so I can order one? Thanks!

Stuttgart Performance sells a silver 968 logo. I am not sure if this was a factory option or not.

I've never seen a factory '968' rear badge in any color other than black. It was a 'delete' option, however, so if you check your option codes, you may find that the first purchaser asked that it not be put on the car.

I, too, have seen the silver (almost looks like pewter) porsche badge. I'm trying to recall where I saw the part, I think it was in a recent Performance Parts brouchure, but it may have been in the Cargraphic catalog. I will check when I arrive home this evening.

The PO had brought one in from a place in the UK, don't know who. Also had the letters laser cut out of silver vinyl to match. Looks nice enough for me to leave it alone for now.

If you have a 1991 model then the chances are you would have had the square cut 968 rear badge.

Did'nt even know of its existence until being informed on this forum, thanks guys, and now have even seen said badge at a recent PCGB meet where we got 19 968's together, a bit of a record for the UK.

As I said I did not know that that type of badge had been used so was lucky that I had my camera when I saw my first one.
