Typical snowfall for where I am in the mid west of the country is normally only a couple of inches, further north in Scotland and west in Wales they have had several inches over night and we have had another inch this morning. It certainly makes driving the '68 interesting with 255's on the back, I was never too good at skating

Trouble is in the UK its so infrequent that the whole country seems to grind to a halt, seems like any excuse to get off work

Interesting.....Do the just let it sit until it melts, or do they salt/sand the roads?

They salt the main roads which doesn't do our cars much good, but a lot of the back lanes are never touched which is where I have the most fun. I live up a single track road about a mile and a half off the main road and there is virtually no traffic up here at all so I always get to drive on fresh snow, alright when I had my old Cherokee but not so good in the 68

It is more infrequent in recent years about 10 -14 days each year where I am, but we do get a lot of ice on the roads for a couple of months, which brings out the dreaded gritter wagons.

Like I say though where I am its normally quite light, its the highlands of Scotland that get the good stuff and they cope without problem and of course it looks fantastic on the highland mountains.

I hate this fecking snow!

My car had about a 3" coating all over yesterday morning. While I was out at work some a-hole took all the snow off the hood (ok so far) then stole the badge. 2nd time in 3 months!

Then, after work I was enjoying a beer or seven in the pub. As leather soled shoes and icy streets don't mix, I had my trusty Nikes with me for the walk home. Guess what... somebody stole those too. I mean, what is the point of stealing somebody's shoes for heaven's sake!

Rant over...

PS how's it going Mike? I notice the powers that be have ejected you from the PCGB forum for reasons I can't fathom... you're better off here to be honest

In Maine we've had very little snow, falling in small amounts so the roads are often covered with a light dusting of sand. Very instructive as to how wonderfully the car corrects itself if the rear end breaks loose.

Just because it's dumping here during the last days of Feb, I'll chime in.

2 feet in the last 2 days. My car is safely covered in a heated garage.

The only 968 that would make it here in the winter is the one on 968.net with the plow. Here's a shot of me before hitting the main road in my R wagon.
