One of the quick fingered posters' over there is claiming that 'Cup 2' 17"s wheels are 23lb/26lbs, and that 'Cup 1's' 17"s are 2lb more per wheel than that. How do people make this up out of thin air?? This fellow is always talking about unsprung weight being the enemy, and he's off by at least 3lb per wheel. Sheesh. (BTW, I've weighed them myself, and posted this on 968.net a year or so ago, plus if you can check wheelweight.net . . .)

Let me guess, no, I don't need to. Hopefully he'll sell his car and move on soon. Then it may be safe to go back.

Just my humble opinion, but shouldn't the mud-slinging be kept to a minimum? I know it's frustrating, but I also don't want to see a 968.net post that reads, "Hey, they're talking about you over on Rennlist". Then that someone might starts posting here....

No flame intended towards you, Damian, but Joseph is right. As you yourself have said before, lets take the high road here.

Best regards,

I can see your point, but I just wanted to get the truth out there--again. I came close to responding on that site, but thought it'd be better to do it here. Next time something like this comes up I'll word it differently, thanks for the tip.

yes...no mud slinging is the best approach...or not even ignoring another one.
Unfortunately for owners like me with lot's of interest and average knowledge, bad information can be costly.

Pitou,

Well said!

I'm definately in the camp of " I drive it and not too well either!" I'll leave my mechanic to the tough stuff.

Jason
