Default Put a couple of '68 Cab items in the marketplace

Put up my 968 Cab ski rack and Porsche/Techart rear spoiler for sale in the marketplace.

Both are brand new, never used. PM me for more details, pics or to make an offer!

Pretty cool items but I think you have been hanging around with Dr Evil too long as far as that pricing goes

Jim normally at Rennlist one posts a clear price for what they are trying to sell and what they want for it.

I see $ 1000... is that for both or each or WHAT?? Why the mystery?

Then someone openly asks how much you want for the spoiler and you take the time PM them versus saying what you want out in the open.

Why dont you list it on FLEAbay if you want to open a bidding war and put a reserve price on it. The people here tend to offer deals to fellow Rennlisters vs teasing them with a disguised auction.

Good luck with your auction, those are some interesting pieces.

John,

Personally, when I buy something from a fellow forum member (whatever hobby forum that happens to be), I tend to have pricing discussions through PM or private email. Especially when talking about unique items. What I offer, what I pay, what I accept, etc. are no one else's business but mine and the other party.

Not looking for a bidding war - not teasing anyone - insinuating I am is a bit of a low blow. Doubt there would be a bidding war for either regardless.

So all that said - $1000 for both, $650 for either, OBRO. Shipping not included. Taking up space in the garage - motivated to sell. Shoot me a PM for pics.

[QUOTE=Jim C;14592422]John,

Jim

I could not agree more with your sentiment above....what someone offers you and what you take are your business. Never suggested you should openly negotiate the price on the forum. I did say that you should list a price, not a confusing generality... And when someone asks you the price openly, this is not asking to know what you may accept or how you negotiate...its openly asking "how much for the spoiler" You could then say to everyone else listening $650 If you take $250 thats your business and not mine and I never expected to know.

And, after I suggested this forum usually works a little different than ebay (where what you offer, what you pay, what you accept ARE your business as well as your asking price) you suggest I committed a low blow.

No offense intended, just trying WAY to hard to figure out how much you wanted for the spoiler on a forum that is not an auction site and one that generally with "open arms" discloses what their asking price for an item is.

Good luck with your sale.

Forum rules state that items for sale must have a price listed.

Jim always had a price. do forum rules dictate a realistic price?
