We could meet at Sambo's for pancakes and drive to Ojai from there.

Great. I have not been there for some time.
It's funny because I have not seen a 968 in or around town for many years, however, in my search for one (or maybe two) I saw that at least three of 20 968's were at one time here in town.

Looks fantastic. did you get the cobalt boot? You'll have to look into getting that top replaced someday with the correct cobalt top. I wonder how hard they are to get?

I Know. I found a cobalt boot. Looking like the cobalt top may be tough. There is a large interior/top shop near here and they say the have the same German OEM material. I plan to go see them next week to verify. I need to replace the seat leather also

How's your shifter lever and boot? I might have one of those.

They are in good shape except the boot has shrunk and not sure I can get it to stay on the square trim. So yes I do need a shift/boot. I've been taking the interior apart to steam clean the carpets. I want to try to find an original cd/radio. Not sure where to start on that.

My Cab had the CD changer setup. I replaced it with a 3 CD changer in dash system and I don't care if that car is original. I have no idea where I put my old system but I'll look for it and tell you if I find it. I can't remember if the CD changer was jamming up when I changed it, seems like it was?

I pick up the Midnight Blue car tomorrow. That's the main thing I see about that car that I don't like, it has the original stereo, but it's a cassette player..lol. I'm keeping that car original, except maybe a performance chip or a K&N drop in air filter. I have both of those on my Cab.

Thanks Eyeman! You must be excited! Now I'm fully jealous. They put in a nice CD unit but they made a mess of the wiring. I have a .6 amp drain on fuse 8. I'm not yet sure if they are related but seems likely from what I'm seeing .
