Looking for 964 Turbo

Today, sellers are asking for between $100k and $150k for their cars.
Tomorrow, it may be more or it may be less.
That's the game and everyone gets that.
If you want to argue about if these car are worth what sellers are currently asking for them, the answer is the cars are worth what someone is willing to pay.
These cars are difficult to pin a market value on anyway since there are so few of them in existence and even fewer sales of them. Those who buy generally don't disclose what they paid unless they bought low.
If you were to buy a new 911 Carrera or Carrera S you would lose $20-30k instantly. Would it kill anyone to lose that on a 965? Doubtful.

There are some great insights to be had in this thread. I'm throwing my hat in the ring as I'm currently looking for a 964 Turbo, and also happen to be an auto broker (but this is my toy...not for inventory, or a client). There are a few that show up in the wholesale auction, but values are all over the map. Saw a low-mile (40k) in CA for under 90k, and another in FLA that they were asking $100k at wholesale with double the miles. The variance is astounding.

I searched for over a year for a 3.6T until finally locating my car in 2003. With only 335 stock 94's made for the US market you can't believe how many had issues back then. This also applies to the 3.3's. Finding a car without a tainted history or mechanical needs is next to impossible. I know many people that have been searching for years and still have not given up. I still haven't seen a true collector quality car for sale for quite some time. Although the occasionally properly priced driver does surface.
No doubt most of what is for sale are the same cars that were tough sells back in 2003. Each car needs to be evaluated for its individual merits and you can park two side by side with varying miles and one is worth considerably more than the other for various reasons.
It will be interesting to see where things land this spring.

I'm tempted to buy it. If it were blue, I'd be on my way to get it now.

I haven't been looking for 7 years. I made a decision a while ago to go the 930 route when I was searching back then. I bought 2 930's, 1 was a factory 505 slantnose, and have sold them both. I was at a local P shop recently and they had a 964 T and I thought I would look again. I am not adverse to the local car but I got pinged on 2 that suit me better and am waiting to see if they are what they say. Regardless, I am not in a rush, I have a car to sell and I don't want to buy the wrong car. Also, I firmly believe that prices are coming down so I also am reluctant to pay-up right now as in 2 years they could be worth a lot less. Try to remember that these were trading hands for $35k just a few years ago.
