Default Market peaking for 3.6's?

This sharp looking 3.6 was advertised a few weeks ago for $225K with many offers but no sale and now it is being listed for 16K less.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...#ht_5136wt_969

The market for air-cooleds has probably gone a little too far too fast (I purchased my 3.6 with 15K miles when the economy was still fragile in 2010 and at that time there were a few of these for sale with similar mileage in the $80 to $85K range).

It's made a huge step up

If it follows mid-60's Corvettes in the 1980's and V-12 Ferrari's after Enzo's death, prices will fall back but not all the way back.

Not sure why this car is not getting more attention. Rear bumper is rough but original paint. Otherwise a nice looking car.

I haven't seen another 3.6 sell in a while any idea where pricing is at for average mileage turbo's?

It's a great looking car and a quite rare color .!!, I think the prices are getting higher
dew to the 964 and especially the turbo ones 3.3 , 3.6 are becoming more and more
Famous through out the years ,stories, magazines(911) especially collectors
are looking for them often lately.! I think we been lucky to grow up in the 80s or even for some of us here earlier than that , cause we grow up with the stories , movies with these incredible Timeless cars .!! Hope soon,if not one day I will have mine .!! Keep yours guys apart that they become valuable they are cars with a story....!!

Regards to all
George

I think the stock market upswing is broadening and the U.S. economy is improving at a more rapid pace than at any time over the past few years (still slow but the curve is steepening) ... this bodes well for prices sustaining current levels and maybe even moving up some over the fall. If economy is back (or appears to be back) by 2015 spring low mileage 3.6's in pristine condition could be commanding $300k. They are the icon. And you can benchmark everything else - up or down - off them. YMMV

I also feel the gap narrowing between 3.6 and flachbau s cars. The perfection of the design will always make it a highly desirable car to a generation that is now entering the 'money' phase (30-40)
