Default Exhausts again - confused!!

So I want a raw, raspy, more of an engine type sound and not muffler type sound.

I am taking my Cargraphic muffler off and am stuck between a cat bypass and OEM muffler which is the first car on the vid or a cat bypass/secondary muffler bypass setup which is effectively straight pipes as heard on the car from 30 seconds on this vid.

The second car sounds awesome but is it too loud in real life? does anyone have this setup?

Also is the 964t secondary muffler part number the same as a 964 c2/c4?... the following website seems to think they are?

Here's my rankings for loudness, from quiet to totally obnoxious:

(1) Stock exhaust with cat; old man quiet
(2) Cat bypass with stock exhaust; a little bit of an edge
(3) RarlyL8 muffler (no cat, no stock muffler); hooligan all the way but a little loud in the car
(4) cat bypass and muffler bypass; you'll suffer hearing damage but you can hear the turbo spool and you can shoot flames!

Here's my car with the RarlyL8 exhaust for comparison:

I have the Cargraphic SuperSound exhaust. I have removed the oem muffler on the right and its combined with B&B headers. I like how it sounds. Shoots flames when the exhaust is hot.

Thank you both.

Have ordered a Fabspeed exhaust. Might order a cat bypass at a later date and do some testing.

That's the thing with exhausts, it's personal choice. I don't like the cargraphic sound and that's why I'm changing. It sounds too muffled and not crisp enough for me.

My experience with cargraphic has been poor over the years with 996tt and GT2.

Maybe a little late to chime in but what the heck. Paul basically nailed but I'll still add my .02. I've driven my car with an all stock exhaust - ho hum quiet. With stock cat and muffler bypass, Sounded good - lots of burble and popping on decel. Cat bypass (Fabspeed) and stock exhaust. This is where I like it - sounds as good as muffler bypass (when idling, driving, accelerating) but you get more of a performance improvement vs muffler bypass - and less popping on decal (which I wanted). I never drove my car with cat and muffler bypass as I knew it wasn't what I wanted.

Keep us posted-

That's ok for the track but don't return home at 11 pm; your neighbors will lynch you.

Metal Guru is spot on. You have to live with these things, you know. Besides the cops will know where and who you are real quick. Urquattro has the combo which I also did. B&B exhaust (choose something else if you like) Fabspeed cat bypass and keep the muffler. (It burbles, its pretty loud on hard acceleration, and you can live with it in daily use). So can everyone around you. When we had inspections down here , the car still passed emissions w/o cat.

Agree with ralt and mg. Cat and muffler bypass is extremely loud, not in a good way either.
I heard the fs cat bypass on a 91 3.3 yesterday, sounded amazing.

What Brandon said. Cat delete works good, gives it more rasp and pop.

Just ordered a Catalytic Replacement pipe from Cargraphic, this time I can make it loud or normal within an hours time by removing and installing muffler etc.

FYI ^ The car in the video is not my car, just used an example
