Default 964 Turbo S side ducts

Hello Guys,

I need some help with parts and info and this is the best place to get both.

The 964 Turbo S fender ducts are not the same as the 993 Turbo S. I have noticed the difference in the picture although very minnor but the 964 S got a bigger hole and is more down wards. The 993 is smaller and is straight.

Can someone please let me know if the information which I got is right or are they both the same?

Can anybody help me with finding the part number of the 964 Turbo S side ducts. I got 930 352 101 p3 and 930 352 102 p3 but they are old part numbers and they no longer exists at Porsche parts.

If someone has the parts I would like to buy them from you.:thumb up:

Well, what you are asking for is next to impossible to find and very difficult even with the best of intentions to replicate. James E in UK years ago on his project actually had a craftsman make his ducts. I had a pair of ducts made by Golden Coachworks but even they do not have exactly the right shape. I think you do the best you can and hope someday your car is not parked next to a 964 Turbo S or Flachbau. I bought a Porsche metal duct work and it had a 993 part number. I have sold it but visually it may help to see. jdorociak@gmail.com jim

Part of the problem with the fiberglass ducts or complete rear quarters you just do not know if they really fit because nobody knows how the mold was made or copied from. Issue then becomes the oil tank on the 964/965/993 cars is in front of the rear wheel not behind like the 911/930 cars so even if they look right they might not be right. I can also tell you the actual metal duct is not easily made. I tried and even paid someone who was unsuccessful. The best ones I actually had were made by Anzianos but they got sold and shipped to Canada.
You can actually see the 993 part number on one of the metal ducts and possibly they are still available. Might still be a good starting point.

+1
Look at enough pictures of Turbo S' and you will see the difference between the left and right hand sides.

Those aren't Porsche part numbers.

Are you looking at each side left-to-left and right-to-right between models? They are different left-to-right. The right side is smaller (993.503.981.01 - MSRP: $1404.96 - probably $800 at Sunset Imports if they are still available). And the left side 993.503.980.01 as taken from the Tequipment catalog for MY94. There is no designation for X99 so I can't be 100% positive those are the correct part numbers but based on the model year I would say they are.

You can find a few pics on this link of what James carried out https://rennlist.com/forums/964-turb...-progress.html

Apparently the body worker spent weeks getting them to his satisfaction.
Only difference over standard is the actual hole going in were a lot bigger as they actually feed each turbo so had to be functional rather than just aesthetic.

It might be worth trying to get them and replicate them in metal. Thanks for the link.

I was thinking of doing that. Get a 993 part and modify it. I will keep you updated on the progress.

I got the part number from http://members.rennlist.com/dtdvo67/c2turbo11.html

The part number you listed is for a 993 Turbo S which is slightly smaller I think than the 964 side ducts.

I came across this link before and always payed little attention to it thinking it was a 993. It is now saved in my bookmark for reference. Thanks

This is how they should look like:

on the last pic you can even see who made them in the 90ties - a company that still exists! : http://www.stickel.de/
