wheels..step 1?! :)
^'94 Turbo 3.6, white, black interior, two owner, definitely NOT well kept, all stock. Maintained but not to my standards, ..., 37k miles...clean CarFax but small repair on the RR, and it will need a lot of TLC and maybe more. I bought it without a PPI and over the phone this past week.
Long story and frankly I got sick and tired of the chase...The car will be put away when it shows up in a few weeks and I will plan the work properly. Looked at it 7 weeks (? +/-) ago on a multi-car deal. The owner collects Jags and my friend was buying a Jag from him and that's how this deal started months ago.
I am out of the country for a while and will post pix in a few weeks

Well folks...It took me a while to get this car. In fact, I think that it has been 3 months or so? I will keep it PG as I am a PG kind of guy...but the seller was a whack-job and he had some "east coast" hustlers after him. I will stop right there!
All I can say is that buying a 1994 Turbo 3.6 has been the WEIRDEST car experience that I have ever had...Since I posted that I had bought the car, I received many strange PMs. AND, I received some helpful hints from the RL posters here...THANK YOU RL!
A few people know me on the other forums, so as brief introduction; this is my second 964 Turbo. My first was a 1991 964T that I owned from 1993-2002. I was so happy to get rid of it when I picked up (ED) my 2001 996TT...boy things have changed! I am happy to own another.
I am slowly working on restoring this car. I moved it back to the West Coast where I am from along with my 1972 911S that is being restored (bare metal). I will post pix when the car becomes more presentable.
BUT...I got my new NOS Porsche SPEEDLINE wheels today...awesome!!!!! I am posting some PIX. Man, I love these.
Many thanks to my friend Bill over in the 997TT forum.

Yes, it is a genuine car, ordered by the police from porsche in 1991 (i have the original delivery bill). Since it is police heritage ( they stopped ordering porsches as of 1994), i have an exemption issued by the ministry of internal affairs that i can use it on the road, including the blue lamp.
All original equipment like sirens, lamp, mobile phones as well as the electronic 'police stop' and 'police follow' signs works as per original delivery, although the sending freq of the mobile phones is blocked and i may not use the sirens and lamp on the road.
There is a special porsche code for ghis type, also in the maintenance book (think it is 630, will check when back from vacation).
The dutch police are the biggest customer ever of porsche with well over 500 porsches 195x- 1994. There were only 40-44 delivered of these 964 targas and you can imagine these cars were used to the bone! I am lucky to have one with matching numbers, most engines were changed.
I realize i am highjacking the topic. Sorry will stop here ;-) will open another one with some pictures and more specific detail
