Recommend me a new Turbo Charger.
Hello my friends,
Got my car back from Porsche and they sorted the issues and fixed the new oem turbocharger for testing and the car doesnt smoke.
They resealed the engine, replaced injectors, checked on piston rings and valves. The car is running okay and no problems with the reaccurance of previous symptoms.
They tested the car with modified turbocharger that is installed on my Turbo 3.6 and it smokes and fitted oem new turbocharger and no smoking. So I am asking you guys to recommend and identify the turbocharger thats installed on my car.
Where can I source a turbo charger brand new not oem I am looking for a modified turbo.
Whats the best turbo I heard something hybrid, my car has MSD system, B&B headers, muffler no cats. Its a 1994 turbo 3.6

Another source of turbos is Durabuilt.
You could go to a K27/K29 hybrid (called a baby K29). This pairs the more efficient K29 compressor with the fast responding K27 hot stage. This will allow you to run 1 bar of boost with now risk of thermal overload.

Why not just rebuilt your current turbo. Sounds like the seals are shot. Contact Evergreen Turbo in Florida. Great service and extremely knowledgable. Fast turn around. He might even be able to modify your turbo to your liking.

I prefer to buy something new, by the time I ship my turbo to U.S is 7 days and it takes 2 weeks to get me my turbo's back.

I am using the K27 HF turbo and IMO it is a vast improvement over the stock unit. Allows for much more control of the boost, spools up quicker and extends the power range. I would have a hard time going back to the stock unit.
