WUR cost? anyone know?
I had a quote for a new Warm Up Regulator and it was astronomical. I'm thinking that I've asked for a quote on the wrong part because I recall them being quite inexpensive. Anyone bought one before? Thanks!

The C2 Turbo WUR is different than the 930 one. It has an altutude compensator. You could use the 930 one if you wanted.
The 3.6 WUR is different still as it goes to a lower control pressure value on boost for a bit more fuel. If you do not have a fueler, this is an opertunity to get more fuel on boost.
What is wrong with yours? There are adjustments that can be made to them on the cold start side.
I'd guess around $600. I'd check on the Rice WUR if I was in the market to get acceleration fuel during pre boost operation on top of an increase in on boost fuel if desired. I think it's around $1k but not sure.

Apparently what I hear is that the Ruf fuel enrichment/Andial Fuel enrichment or the Lee Rice fuel enrichment is incorporated in the 3.6 and called M148, something like that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

fc-racer,
You should atempt to recalibrate the WUR before replacing it. It's not that difficult to do. When I bought a '91 turbo years ago, it would barely run until it warmed up and then run real rich once warmed up. I also was shocked at the replacement cost of the WUR. I bought the gauge and hose kit that is identified in the shop manual to check the various pressures. Using that gauge, I was able to recalibrate the WUR cold and hot control pressures to be dead on. I was also able to check the fuel pressure, fuel pump flow, boost enrichment, etc. to make sure everything was just right. The car ran perfect after the recalibration. Aparently the PO or mechanic had tried to richen the car up by banging in the calibration slug on top and must have gone too far. Once you take the WUR apart, its easy to push it back out and start over. There is a slug on the top to adjust the cold control pressure and a slug on the bottom to adjust the hot control pressure.
BTW: I sold my '91 turbo a couple of months ago. The gauge kit and hoses are in the classifieds for $150. I don't need it anymore since the 993tt doesn't have a WUR.

Thanks for the response guys, but my question was posed in 2003
I've since sold the C2 Turbo and bought a 993 Turbo. No WUR here One of the main reasons for switching to the 933 was that I understand EFI much, much better than MFI.
