Angry I am NOT impressed

So, after waiting 37 years to buy a Porsche (wanted the turbo first time I saw it) and 20 years to buy the model I fell in love with (964 turbo), I am more than a little ticked off

I bought my car on March 23.. I had been in contact with the transport company since Mid Feb, trying to get a pickup date.

"We dont schedule that far in advance, but I will have it picked up before the end of March"

Fine. You have a good reputation, on this and other forums, so go ahead.

I keep asking for a pickup date, any time after March 23..

"Still consolidating the load"

On the 23rd, I finally get a date.. April 4-8

Hmm, that is not March.. but,, it is what it is, couple of days. I can deal with it

Hang on, two of those days are on a weekend , and two are holidays.. I don't even know if the storage place is open (oh yeah, the seller graciously paid for an extra month of storage for me)

So..

I contacted Brandi on Monday.. she had no info

I contacted her Tuesday.. No info

I contacted her Wednesday.. she was waiting for the driver to call her back

now she is either no longer in the office, or is ignoring me on Thursday.

According to the website “All TFX International tractors and trailers are equipped with the best state of the art alarm and anti-theft equipment available today; this includes an up-to-date tracking system that constantly informs us of the exact whereabouts of the trailer transporting your vehicle. Likewise all route planning and delivery times are calculated with our special transport related software packages”

Even though you have this wonderful tracking, they can’t tell me when they are picking up or when they are delivering?

Now, after getting the sales rep involved, I get a call from dispatch.

"Sorry, but due to our contractual obligations with manufaturers, we are bumping your pickup to April 17-19."

So just as an FYI, Contractual obligations with the little guy are worth crap, we dont care if we keep your business, and good luck getting anyone else to pick up your car before we might get around to it.

Sorry for the Rant, just needed to Vent so I dont blow a gasket

Off to watch Bad Boys repeatedly for the NEXT two weeks.

I don't know if they ship to Canada but I used DeMoise trucking out of South Carolina and they were fantastic. Shipped my 964 from memphis to long island NY

Hi Sharker,

I'm in Vancouver and got my dealership to purchase my car from Arizona. They also used TFX and it took about one month before I saw my car, for the first time. The car must have been on the transport for about two weeks before getting to Vancouver. When I was waiting I was also watching Bad Boys and even had the opening and end car chase on my smartphone.

Best of luck and looking forward to see those pics when your car arrives.

That is just unacceptable. Not sure who you are using, but there are plenty of good enclosed carriers out there. Good luck....

Problem with finding another carrier is that I go back to square one. I am looking, but I need one that crosses the border, and even if I get lucky, I am looking at 2 weeks to get picked up.. I do have a bunch of calls out though

I can handle delays, it is poor customer service and third class customer status that irks me

Deep cleansing breaths

Insurance/licensing issues before it is imported, and I can't figure out how to fit the spare set of wheels on the roof

I imported three cars from Toronto to Colorado and it took about 1-month as well, maybe slightly less.

Sadly this will be an excercise in patience.

Wow, what a drag. I just used TFX to bring my RSA from Massachussetts. I booked the space with them on March 13th and the car arrived about 10 days ago. I did have a few minor issues with Brandi, but nothing like you're dealing with. Hope she arrives soon
