It is starting to be that $60-$75 gets you a nice 1991-1992 Turbo. The really nice 3.6s are headed to $100k. If you have one...keep it!

Prices are a little crazy on the 3.6Ts, and people seem to hope that will rub off on the 3.3 964T. Even though there are a few high asks around, a very clean 42K mile 91 just sold for $42K and a clean 30K mile 92 sold for $50K. Looking at actual sales, 3.3 964Ts seem to still be reasonably priced.

2 3.6T's that were advertised in the UK for £75000 sold quite quickly, both had around 65k on the clock!

This is one of them.. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3678280.htm

I wonder if those cars went to HK. Interestingly, here in Jakarta there is a growing importation of old Porsches. It's not legal to put them on the road, they're going to collectors with lots of Coal money to spend. Maybe Asia will lead the collector market in the next few decades.

Glad to report that they both stayed in the UK.

That makes an average RHD Turbo 3.6 worth about GBP 63,000 to a UK person buying outside the country. We have 12 of these in NZ. I wonder how long until they start to get picked off? Aren't you supposed to be in the economic toilet?

Economic toilet - yes , and that seems to push prices of these cars up as people are looking to park
cash. A lot of collectors/speculators looking for a return. I havnt heard of any going to China yet ..
Seems now is the time to grab a good 3.3 before prices are dragged up.

This short video clip was from Appraise My Car a few years back, interesting outlook. I'm betting they would change their 'grade' on the investment of the vehicle now:
.

Enjoy,

Lance

I sold my 3.6 T two years ago for $35k. It had 84,000 miles but had a new top end at 79,000. Maybe I should have held out for a few more $$$....

No, you should have just kept it and enjoyed it for free.

Damn, 2 yrs ago the dealer had a nice blk on blk w 26k miles, went for 79k.
At the time it took forever to sell and I thought the buyer way overpaid. Not!
Went to Germany btw.

The cars have appreciated in nominal terms against depreciating fiat currencies.
The same wealth preservation or better could have been had elsewhere , eg silver and gold.
Is it really a good thing that the 3.6 has become a collector/speculators car ?
