Default Finally getting one!

Hey guys, I've been lurking on here for a few months now. I've always been in love with Porsche, since my pops bought me the "Kills Bugs Fast" poster when I was a kid. My pops had a 912, then 993 C2, then a 996tt and now he has a 356. So, Porsche has been firmly implanted in my brain and heart.
I was never able to afford one so I have driven Saabs and VWs. Modifying all my cars has been an addiction that can't be cured and I don't care to, either. I had to be driving a MK2 Gti or a C900T, 2 of my favorites. My longtime mechanic sold his business and went into hiding, burned out from engine swaps and rally builds. So, when I was getting my winter car ready to drive, my pops suggested I bring it to his Porsche tech.
Victor is awesome and it was he who decided I needed to drive his 964T. Holy ish! I'm in love! The car is so...so... amazing! You feel like it is talking to you, telling you where the road is going, what the tires are doing, how you need to push the accelerator a little bit more! I have had 2 dedicated Gti track cars, one N/A and the other turbo, and the 964 makes them feel like floppy, slow, unsorted junk.
My wife finally relented and gave me the go-ahead to get one. I can't wait for the spring, I feel like a little kid that just glimpsed the neighbor lady topless through the window!

(I posted this in the N/A forum first, the thread got to page 2 before someone clued me in to the fact I was in the wrong forum, oh well.)

Welcome over here. You are right in that 3.3s are a little easier to come by. You can probably get them to similar power levels with a couple of simple mods. Budget?

50 to 60k with a slim possibility to go higher if the wifey falls in love with it, too. That amount includes everything associated with the purchase including all PPIs, any initial maintenance needs, and any travel and lodging.

Has anyone done business with Sloan Cars in New Haven, CT? I think a trip down there is worthwhile, hopefully it warms up a little bit by Friday.

Unless he brought in the red one he was talking to me about last week, he does not have any 964T's there right now
