beware... the RS version does not fit the 964 turbo, the only one I can find was from patrick motorsports,

http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/648/

The 964 Turbo 3.3 uses different ignition reference ring than the RS 3.6

ill be using a standalone engine management system that wont need that ignition reference, is everything else about that RS copy compatible with my turbo?

$299 sounds about right to me!

More like $2k whether you do another dual mass or lwf.

See here for the lwf: http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/1242/

Your supposed to replace the dual mass. They can't be turned and the springs wear out. You may get it together only to find you have to do it all over.

My bad he's right the RS cup fits 993 turbo and '90-'93 C2 as well as 993 '95-'98

the 3.3 Turbo is the same as the 3.6 Turbo single mass, I found a good deal on the package with flywheel a few months back most of the actual clutch components are interchangeable

If your using stand alone ignition and CIS injection you can use the RS unit, the 3.3 turbo clutch plate and disc will work
as far as I know

One last aside the dual mass can be reused it's just not recommended because they become brittle and shift over time
if it's solid and shows no signs of seperating it should be ok

yeah my dual mass is still good and my machine shop can resurface it no problem. I just really wanted a lighter FW in it.

so can i use the RS flywheel with my 964 turbo clutch kit (that i just bougt) or do i have to by a sleeve and a bunch of other components? I am NOT using any factory fuel or ignition components in this thing.

Brian in taking some measuremments on the two differing wheels RS and alum 965 the depth appeared
to be quite different so the RS may not work .
I will confirm with a buddies shop tomorrow I'm in DC call me at 202 413 7811

How do you know this? Did you check it per the Service Manual instructions?
Even if it checks out ok there's no guarantee that it will last the life of the new clutch. In fact, I'd bet it won't. But, hey, it's your car. Do what you want to it.
When you get it back from the machine shop I'd recommend that you put a dial indicator on it to make sure it's flat.

Brian I have not heard if resurfacing a dual mass is recommended or necessary if theres no damage
or significant scoring.
I did speak with my buddy that owns a shop out west and they just last week installed the complete RS
lite weight flywheel and clutch in a car exactly like yours with stand alone ignition and stock CIS.
he was concerned that the entire clutch as sold is used but Im near certain the main difference is the
RS guide tube..it allows the throughout the additional travel necessary once the thicker dual mass is
removed.
so yes you can use that RS clone flywheel ...Bert
