Default Digi WUR, BL WUR or EFI?

Whatever became of the DigiWUR. Is anyone using one successfully?

This thread last had activity 2 years ago

https://rennlist.com/forums/911-turb...gital-wur.html

Is that because anyone else running around the 400bhp mark are either
(1) Satisfied with the Brian Leask WUR and RPM switch
(2) Gone down the EFI route
(3) content with the "turning the screw method"

I`m actually rather scarily entertaining the idea of EFI.

There's a thread on Pelicanparts, started over a year ago about the digital WUR manufactured by Unwired Tools.
The gist of it is that the early units has an issue with their stepper motors seizing but it appears that this has been remedied. The control software has been improved since launch, also.

Refer to this thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-9...gital-wur.html

As for myself, I'm going to stay with CIS until the un-obtainable control electronics give out. I am, however, going to install a trigger wheel on my crankshaft pulley this winter in case I change my mind....

Thanks for the link to that thread. Will have a read up.

So would that be option 3 your adopting?

I think ultimately money will depend which road I take, but after a BL WUR, something like the Zeitronix unit and some dyno time and labour its not a million miles (maybe £3-£4k) off a cheaper EFI approach.

Maybe but it all comes down to available funds. I'll know by spring after the "while your in there" has taken hold during my engine drop.

olly, you still need the Zeitronix or similar for the EFI. I am also, like you guys thinking hard which road to take, just don't want to start the CIS road and then move to EFI and end up spending a lot more than needed.

My motivation for EFI is more safety (AFRs) than power since I would be happy with 400rwhp which is attainable with CIS.

The jury`s still out as to which road I`ll take. My guy is looking into some EFI options ideally one that doesn`t brake the bank. Either way

Like you, I`m not after crazy power. Have 400horse at the moment on CIS.

To grand for my needs. A workable 400+ is all i`m after. 600+ is a completely different world, which quite frankly i`m not willing to enter, or at least not in a 964 chassis.

Incidentally do you still have anything left over from your old old engine, eg 3.2 manifold, fuel rails, injectors. E-mail me if you do.
