Default Replacing Stone Guards

I going to replace my stone guards this weekend.
My question is how do you remove the lower trim pieces in order to get to the bottom edge of the stone guards? I was wondering if there was a DIY write up on it.

Thanks
Chas

There's about 4 Phillips head screws that need to be taken off. After that there are @ 4 clips that hold it in on the rocker panel. You will need to pop these off. While you're at it, get a few spare clips from the dealer just in case you break one. The 965 has different rocker clips than the 964.

Does anyone know if the stone guards on a 993 are typically clear or painted body color? I have an arctic silver 993 and want to replace them. I only can find clear, but I have noticed OEM guards from Porche are available in Polar Silver and some other colors, but have not found arctic silver.

-Thanks.
