Default One lap video

A friend filmed last week-end from his 964 RS
I pass him at the end of the straight "turbo style"

Ok it's not much but I could not resist posting. Seeing one self in action is always such a satisfaction, I had to share.

Looks like a fun track. Surroundings look familiar but not sure where it is.

The turbo is a fun car to drive and that track looks perfect for it.

Thanks for sharing.

Some more of the same track once again from inside my car, this time against a non-turbo 964, although it's a bit modified.

Nice,

can you tell us what mods were done to the RS to make it so fast. I find my C2 to be very nimble through the turns but always get pulled on in the straights. I would love it to be as fast as that RS.

Thanks,

Vincent is a hell of a fast driver and it's impossible to keep up with him.

Just about nothing done to the chassi but the same brake and wheels as on your 3.6 turbo, a 993MAF and a big bore throttlehouse. It runs on MPSC tyres. In this movie I use the original 5-speed gearbox.

The 964 in front in the second movie have a real CUP chassie and have had serious weightloss.

Thanks for the info.

Weight loss is key but I am not ready to start gutting the car yet. I hear the seam welded cup chassis makes a major difference in handling due to reduced flex.

BTW what recording equipment are you using? the video and sound is far better than most I have seen.

Cheers guys and thx to 964RS /Anders for posting the video and the kind words regarding my driving. I prefer to say I have a fast car which is true ;-)

Track is Mantorp Park in Sweden. You are very right the 964 Turbo performs well there.
You probably recognise it from some of Staffan's videos earlier on on this forum.

To bad my kids (always blame the kids) lost parts of my camera mount or I would have tons of material to post.
