RUF RCT
I've been watching 965's for a while and saw this on ebay. What's the scoop with the RCT designation? This looks like a sweet car.

I agree, the seats and shift boot look older than the rest of the car - I'd also expect sport seats. I emailed RUF with the following questions: I'm unfamiliar with the RCT designation. Is this a recent conversion? A conversion done on a new or used car? 40,000 miles since new or since the conversion? If conversion done on used car, how many total miles? thanks, Rodney

Wayne, Jonathan or Carl at Ruf are best suited to answer your questions. I keep my CGT there most of the time and would be glad to look at the RCT if you need some independent eyes.

DP, it's not an easy sell altogether.
Most guys expect wide body when talking Turbo and the full RUF treatment inside, with early 90's Recaro that would look now very dated btw. Then, for the same money and same mileage, RPM has a stock black Turbo 3.6...

It looks like a oem Porsche color to me, maybe Amazon green? Plus if i were to have Ruf to a full repaint, I would kill the gutters and install the Ruf side mirrors too ala Yellowbird. Older era correct Ruf wheels and Ruf badged intercooler would be nice too. Just being picky if I were looking...

I had a nice conversation with Jonathan at RUF Motors earlier today. The car was converted, Jonathan used the term "remanufactured" at the RUF factory in 1999 or 2000. The engine is a NA 3.6 converted to turbo by RUF purportedly putting out > 420 HP. Suspension, brakes, trans and interior all by RUF. 40 K miles since conversion, no data on total mileage. There are thought to be about 20 RCT conversions in the US. RUF has the car on consignment, price firm at $63 K.
