No idea about the car or dealer in Houston and I don't think this car has been discussed here before. I like the color combo and the price seems good given the mileage. The "Speedlines" look very different from my original ones. Looks like a nice original example nevertheless - good luck.

I think the car was for sale up in Canada when it was discussed. Something about the door and front fender being repaired..

Those are Speedline Alesio wheels not what most expect -- the 3.6 Turbo Speedlines. The centers are different and were actually made to allow the wheels to be drilled for different spacing -- BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin ..... Other than that the hoop sizes 1.25" front outer, 6.5" inner and 1.75" rear outer and 8" rear inners were the same as the 3.6Turbo wheel, the bolts and nuts were the same, but the famous "SPEEDLINE for PORSCHE'" etchings were only done on the wheels made exclusively for Porsche by Speedline - 3.6 Turbo and 993 RS wheels. All things considered, that looks like a fantastic deal on a relatively low-mile 965, color is nice. I mean that's just plain cheap for a 50k mile 965!

If I didn't have one, I'd have already been over there. I'm still tempted.

I believe this is the same car that was in Canada and it had a salvage title.

Maybe that's the reason that the listing has now been removed?

Well, that goes a long way to explaining the low price.

I called about the car and was told the title was clear. Is it possible to go from a salvaged title to a clear one? Not sure how all this works. They also told me the car has never been in a wreck.

There is a difference between a "clear title" (i.e. no liens) and a salvage title so maybe you are falling victim of a play of words. There is no way to get rid of a US salvage title. Not sure about the above referenced Canada to US transition and whether items like that can get lost. You should be able to get more information from the car's historical records.

With respect to to the fact that "the car has never been in a wreck", the only way you will find out is to have a good reputable shop do an inspection and go over it with a paint gauge. When I was shopping for my cars, lot's of dealers made claims in order for me to invest time and money in their cars. Private individuals with some ownership history tend to be a lot more truthful.

Keep in mind there there are less and less good 3.6 turbos out that have no accident history. Let us know how it works out.

I did a CarFax on the car -

CARFAX Xpert

This car seems to have been registered in FL without the prior PA salvage title. This may be a case of title washing. If you are considering buying this vehicle, make sure you account for this problem title history in your decision.
