Default Looking for a specific cable to hook up to EFI

Hey guys,

Im normally found on the 944/951 boards but I work at a servicing department and we have stumbled upon a 91' turbo that at one point put 739hp to the ground. It is now running horribly (a/f is 10:1 at idle and above 13:1 when under load). It is running a EFI technology engine management system and we have no way of hooking up to the computer to start the tuning process. Our dyno shop sent me a sheet with the cable specs which we need to be able to hook up to it. here are the specs for the cable that are available to me:

general description
pseudoprogrammer is a new pc loader for EFI's ECU (engine control unit) developed in accordance with the new ecu Boot Loader (new kernel). It works connected to:

EFI USBCAN interface;
EFI Communication server TCP/IP;
any pass-thru interfaces SAE J2534-1 revision DEC2004 complaint;
any Vector XL family interfaces vector XL Driver Library complaint;
any kvaser interfaces canlib32 library complaint;
any interfaces rp1210 complaint;

I have no idea what that means? the top of the engine managemnet module had "Euro 6" on the top.

Hope this may shed some light? if anyone familiar with the EFI Technology engine management systems may have some input then I would greatly appreciate it! thank you.

You should post a pic of the connector. My guess is that it is a serial connector.

Something like this could possibly work.

I see someone mention the RP1210 spec.

Hi,

I have a EURO6 system I'm currently fitting to my 964.

You need a specific Efi Can lead and they are Big $$$$, they are supplied with the EFi kit and only this cable will work as it has a circuit board incorporated into the lead which is "dongled" to only work with a EURO6 ECU. No universal lead will fit.

EFi stuff is serious kit, I'd start by asking the owner who has the cable and find out who programmed it, they should have all the info you need.

In the UK, you can get more info from Ole Buhl who can supply any parts you require: http://www.obr.uk.com/

I have all the software and manuals, I can email you if you get the lead, You can email/pm me if you need any futher help, happy to help in anyway I can.

This is the first other Efi kit I've heard fitted to another 911.

I'd be really interested in a copy of the map to help with my project. would save me alot of time getting the initial setup mapped in.

best of luck.

If it is the car with the same colour interior it has been discussed on these boards a few times in relation to it being for sale. No other technical info is on here AFAIK.
