I need your opinion about this car
I have been looking into buying a 930 turbo. Does anyone know this car? Opinions welcome.

This car is far from original and looks wise is not to my own personal taste however if this car has exactly what it is described to have you will find the amount of money spent on it will have been near the asking price, not sure either if some of the info is 100% true.
Defo would have to drop that rear spoiler aswell though and would like to see some engine pictures!!

There are a couple of cars that have been for sale which seem like years and that is one of them.. Maybe
some of the knowledgeable guys will chime in about the motor build.
If you like it just have it checked out and get the price down..

This is a really tough sell...who knows if the engine and transmission were done right. I would want to know who built the engine and if it wasn't someone well-known in the turbo community, then it would be time to move on.
Then there's the repaint: guards red to bright yellow. Why was that done, who did it and what was done to the car in preparation for the repaint?
Not sure what's up with the AC and intercooler.
This is a complicated car with more unknowns than upgrades. There's a very big lesson here - the pedigree of the company making the upgrades is the most important part of resale value of a modified car. If this was a really a RUF car, someone would have snatched it up long ago.

Thanks again, probably more headache than it is worth. I also would rather buy from a private seller.
There are some really nice 930 turbo's on ebay right now, very clean low miles between 40 and 60K depending on the miles. I am amazed at how well these cars have held there value. I just wish my 996 tt would hold its value like the 930 and 993 turbo's. I will keep looking. Thanks for all your help and when I do finally make the purchase, I will post pics.

Well if you wouldn't mind it would be nice to know a bit more. Pics of the engine bay would be great as well. Also if you could find out who did all the engine work. At your convenience this would be great.

My thought is that you can buy a 91 or 92 with similar, or lower, mileage in original condition for the same money. On the other hand, if you're into hot rods, this may be worht looking into. As mentioned earlier, if it wasn't built right to start with, you may be entering a situation where you get to spend lots of money to get it right. Just me opinion. Good luck.
