Although the paperwork also states that both cars would not be imported to the US and we know that is not the case.

If it is in the price range you say and you can still get sets, I would be in for a spare set. I will be away next week though.

Also what kind of speedline parts can you get? I have someone who is looking to make custom offset speedlines for a 993TT and he would be very interested in buying the components separately. If it is not a hassle he would probably appreciate the contact info.
I know the RSR did but I always understood that the RS did not. But I stand corrected if you say so .

All of the Speedline for Porsche component parts are available through PMS (and are not cheap). You can also get the parts from third parties like FVD but they just get them from PMS in Germany. So I will source them directly from PMS for my purposes. The contact info is the same as in my previous post re. the spoilers.

Thanks Mark,

I will pass the info along. Meanwhile I will try to scan a copy of the Sales paperwork for your review.

My scanner is giving me problems so I took some pictures. Not sure if you can read this. Interesting packet with about 20 pages of info including pricing all options and other goodies like press release photos.

I know on another thread someone mentioned the RSR came with either speedlines or BBS wheels. there is no mention of BBS wheels on these forms but they also say the RS would not be imported into the US and we all know it was.

note RS shows front spoiler as standard eq.

Anthony, have you ever run across any parts sheets with part numbers for the RS/RSR cars?

No part numbers but I have all the option codes. Not that anybody will be buying a new RS or RSR. Interestingly they list 3 models: The Street/Touring version 911 Carrera RS 3.8 designation 004, The Racing version 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 designation 005 and the Safety package for Porsche Clubsport version designation 003. I also have all the color combo interior and other parts. Interestingly the air jack system central locking wheels were extra at 9,135 Dm and 7,716.50 DM Color upon request was only allowed on the RS at 3,601.32 DM Upgraded radio was 850 DM yet reduction or deletion of radio was 340DM, Airbags could also be special ordered.

Maritime blue was the standard blue then? No metallic was standard? The only picture in a magazine that I have seen of a blue 964 3.8RS is similair to both our cars Anthony.

Yes the car featured in 911 and Porsche World is Cobalt blue it was a special ordered which apparently you could do with the RS but not the RSR. This was also one of the few 004 touring versions most were ordered as the 003 version for an additional 17,020 DM you got the roll bar, fire extinguisher system, belt system and reduced interior equipment. I love the way Porsche charges you money not to include stuff like radio, carpet etc. LOL

Did I mention I want that car.

There is a note on the bottom of the pricing sheet that reads:

" Please note that in the case of repair certain colours (for example pearl-colours) entail a difference in paint and an increase extent of labour. These colours are available at an extra charge."

Did the group buy get any further in another thread? I'm still searching for these parts having now got the standard trays to replace my techart units.

Anyone recommend a good aftermarket brand for the lips (not a one piece unit)

Sorry ... was too much trouble in the end as so many people wanted them. You can order then through PMS NA.

One can order directly from PMS NA? If so, please PM the info or post a reply.

See this earlier thread, with pics and supplier:

https://rennlist.com/forums/964-turb...splitters.html

I had them on my car. They are cheap copies, but lasted and look good.

I meanwhile received my set of original splitters as shown on the picture. I want to attach these to my narrow body 964RS.

Do you have any tipps and tricks how to remove the splitter from the rest of the cover? Drilling the rivets is clear but how do I split the glued part? Simply cutting the glue?

Thanks

Stefan
