I did this on my car. You need to swap to NA rotors, NA axles, NA sway bar. My car has 12 inch wide wheels on it with 315 drag radials. Next time I am going with 345's! It makes the rear of the car look very mean!
Strokher I want to be certain I understand what you did. By changing the control arms on a 964 Turbo you were able to put wider wheels in the rear with no rubbing issues. Is that correct? When I was looking for a set of new wheels I was told that the max width I could do is 10 possibly 11. You state your car has 12 inch wide wheels. I am assuming that is because you changed the control arms and any other things that were needed. Correct?
Thanks in advance for your feedback as I have no clue about these things and I want to be certain it can be done before I pursue.
kavo and/or strokher what is the widest wheel i'd be able to put on my car with these? strokher you said you have 12" wheels with the same control arms?
If you need wheels, I am around and have parts available to build custom width Speedline . I currently have Techart Daytona wheels apart (made by Speedline) and a set of Alesio Speedline, and a set of OZ Racing wheels that I am ready to assemble 8.75 and 11.75" x 18 designed for a narrow body 964 with turbo quarter panels installed, so basically what you guys are going to revert your car to my specifications. Unfortunately I do not at this time have a set of 3.6 Turbo Speedlines available for sale.
I am not sure what the widest wheel this will fit. I have 12's on the car, and they fit fine. They really give a great foot print with the 315 drag radials on the car.
I have 12" wide rims on my turbo body race car with narrow body trailing arms and that is the widest wheel I can fit, however, I am running 3.2 negative camber so that tilts the wheel away from the trailing arm where it can hit and away from the fender lip where it can hit. So, on a street setup, I think you'd need something less than 12".
This is not particularly a difficult swap as long as you have all of the N/A pieces. I also think you need a N/A swaybar not mentioned in the list.

10 max 11" with exactly correct offset and tire width not exceeding 285 with stock trailing arms and ride height. With Narrow body trailing arms 12's will fit with 305's.
