Debadge turbo?
Have any of you considered removing the "turbo" script from your rear decklid? My '88 Carrera had the rear emblem delete option and I think I've grown used to the clean look. I had to remove the turbo script temporarily to polish the paint and now I'm contemplating leaving it off. Would this be blasphemy? The car is GP White so the emblem is very distinct.

It is a personal thing. For me, if the Turbo script were damaged or fell off for some reasons, I might just leave it off. I would not put back a "newer" script though.

im thinking about it! I liked just turbo on my 930 but i dont like 3.6added.Prefer the S but mines a package S! the complete delete option maybe best if it doesnt leave marks, or just move the turbo more central?

I'm wrestling with the same thing turboholic. I'm trying to decide now if it looks clean or naked without the script.
Once I polished the grime out that had accumulated around the script its removal left no trace. Sonny, I agree totally and I'd only put an original script on and never a badge that didn't belong with the car. I agree with Metal Guru that the badge certainly makes a statement, but sitting next to my spoilerless '88 Carrera I can't help but think the massive fenders and huge tail say the same thing pretty effectively.
We'll see. I'm just worried that once I remove the painter's tape I used to mark the original location I'll never be able to figure out where it goes!

Will do. The original script is in perfect shape and I picked up some 3M molding tape today. The badge goes back on while I still know where it belongs.
Dental floss is cheap, so if it bugs me later then off it comes.

My 74 RS clone looked like a turbo but had no badge. I liked the look nice and clean and kept people guessing. IMO the 94's had the best badge ever with the polished turbo and the 3.6 it makes the car unique the same with the turbo there is no doubt to what lurks underneath the tail and IMO it is priceless. I say keep it on or replace it with the polished 3.6 version minus the 3.6.

Imo put it back on the TURBO script is such a small item but demands such a large amount of respect. actually its doesnt demand respect it takes it............ no offense to those who dont have the script the look alone says it all.

Ok. I'm a non owner. But IMHO the 94 3.6 is a special car because is sperates itself from the turbos that came before it and after (for only one year). 3.6 liter two wheel drive turbo. Why wouldn't want anyone know about that?
