Default Turbo spoiler

Hallo Turbo fans....
I’m searching a turbo spoiler fore my wide body carrera. To by it thru Porsche is out off the question regarding to the price. Therefore I’m searching E-Bay Europe an some local sites. please have a look on what I found and tell me if it will fit on my 964. The one on the 993 is probably the correct one? The other comes maybe from a 1988 Turbo, will this fit? They are both cheap, but without a good fit....makes no sense then...

If it's a 993 you should most likely look for a 993 spoiler; check this site out: www.rennspd.com. Good luck!

He's asking whether the 930 spoiler fits the 964. I'd say yes.
Its probably heavier than say a 911 Carrera spoiler as ours has the bit for the intercooler. I'd have thought both would fit anyway.

It seams hard to find a 965 spoiler to the right price, so that’s why I’m looking fore a substitute. Its not a 993 that I have in mind for this spoiler, that was in an add that I found some one that have mounted "something" that shouldn’t bee there on his 993.
What about the hinges on my 964, do you thing a 930 spoiler is “bolt on“?

Hey Polman, how are you? My undestanding is they are interchaneable, although there are far greater authorities here than me.

was wondering why you are making the change. Your car is a rare and sought after model, I'd have thought 100% original would be the way to go?

Thats tru with 100% original, but this cange is an very easy to converte back, just a hood change! I think the turbo hood is brutal!

Well, I know on my 3.2 carrera I was unable to remove the rear engine cover without cutting the wiring. I wanted to remove it while I dropped out the engine and tranny.
I chose not to cut the wiring as this car is rather original.

Are you sure you won't have this problem?

Hmmm.........sounds like I have to check that. It isn’t that important, just nice if i could do it smooth, and with no major costs. I think I will get a complete hood for 250$ + 300$ in paint work.

How are you Biglicks getting along with your new Turbo? Not so much driving this time off the year….or is France out off bad weather!

it's a daily driver good weather or bad. I did have one day that defeated me as the roads were very icy, which I refused to risk. I am seariously considering the purchase of a cheap runaround, although with my wife travelling a lot I use her car more often.

Apart from the weather the car is running well and exceeding my expectations of what I was buying. Just found a Porsche specialist garage 5km from my home with a very good reputation, haapy days!!

I take it you keep yours off the road for winter and are getting into a number of projects?

OOh no! I skipped the turbo for the Carrera 4, this means i can drive all year around. I have a Volks Wagen Touran as a daily driver on boring days. Amazing sucker....1,4 liter enginge with both Turbo and kompressor and the DSG gearbox......gives me 170 bhp !!
On my Porsche I have just mounted a ski rack, I also bought some extra stuff to take the Kajak with me in the summer time.......
First some sun now, I have booked Thailand for 2 weeks in Februari. Then I will take a nice trip with the Porsche to northern Sweden or Austria to go skiing. I have also put on winter tirs, 205 in front and 225 at the rear........=big fun in the snow...wrooom wroom
