Default Brake line question

I just tried to swap out my rear brake line with a Weltmeister DOT that I got from Pelican. The package says these are for 91-94 Turbos, but they don't fit. I have attached a picture. The black one is the one that I removed. Notice the 2 female ends.

The shorter steel one has the wrong kind of connector on one end.
The longer steel one, which I think goes on the front, has the right genders, but the connectors are too big to fit through the inner mounting hole.

Are the steel lines packaged wrong or did the PO change my brake fittings to match an NA car?

Can someone who has done their brake lines help me out here?
Pelican is going to take the lines back, but I still need to order the right ones.
What does the normal turbo brake line look like? Is it the black rubber one or the short steel one?
Thanks.

Hey Loot,

Don't have any on my machine currently; I promise to take some when I get home. Is this the only project you have going?

I'm doing the shocks, painting the calipers, and replacing the brake lines and fluid.
I won't have all the parts until next week, but I'd like to order the right lines ASAP.

I ordered these about 8 months ago. I haven't installed them yet, so I don't know if the connector size problem you described will be an issue. Regardless, these were ordered from performance products and supposedly fit 91-94 turbo. They are also the DOT variety.

Thanks. I guess mine are normal and Pelican sent the wrong ones. The package is marked 91-94 turbo, so their vendor must have screwed up.

i have a feeling Dryheat is going to have probs to as both the rears in his pack have the same type of ends at each end, which is wrong, if you look at your original it has a smaller fitting at the inboard end and a d shaped one next to the caliper end, i had the same issues but a set from FVD were correct and fitted like a dream, i ended up ebaying my old ones which fitted older turbo's and std 964's ! hope this helps

That kit looks right to me. People's exhibit A complete with a cameo from the world's stoutest trailing arm
