Default Roof spoiler, what do you think?

I kinda like the look of it but not sure about the performance aspect with the intercooler back there wanting air.

Thoughts? Any one done this?

That's a 993's 3rd brake light piece you are referring to; don't think it has much are flow restriction.

Yeah that looks just like a 993 third brake light assembly (96+ 95's have the cart handle)

Apparently it never made wind tunnel testing at Porsche and its not good for aerodynamics.

I have one but unless travelling at very high speeds you wont notice

Did you take out your brake light and/or replace the glass?

Any pics?

Thx.

I know 911Addict fitted one to his 3.3 last year, it looks good. I'm sure he'll be along soon to answer any questions...

UK cars don't have a high level brake light:

I think only the US Spec have a third brake light, ROW does not and so it should be quite simple to install ! It looks alright for me !!

I think I've seen the install instructions somewhere for the spoiler/highlevel brake light... I'll see if I can find them again.

I thought it came as standard on UK 3.6?

Mine is aftermarket but looks exactly like Sal's. its very lightweight, looks great, and improves safety I think (ie. extra attention for driver behind). I had to fit a shorter rear wiper blade so not to rub though.

As to aerodynamics, I don't have any trouble keeping up with Zermatt's 1 bar, do I?.......apart from the fact he drives like a maniac...

I like that. I hate the huge 3rd brake light on my car, but do think it is a neccesary saftey item.

I wonder how much trouble it would be to go from the US third light to the look that Sal has going. I think that looks much better.

That is what I am thinking. But looking at the existing light, there is a sqare area that will be left. Not sure if that is just due to the tint job.

Hope a US member chimes in that has done it.

BTW...if anyone has one for sale...
