You pay for what you get. Custom 321 Stainless headers cost over $4,500.00 B &B's have a better collector design and do offer gains over GHL. Look at it this way.. You can buy a set of B & B's and drive your car for 2.5 years sell them on Ebay and buy another set.. If you don't want the hassle drop the 5K on a custom set.

I agree partly, but unless they have gone up in price my complete kit minus muffler from B&B was only $2700.00 and several custom shops wanted between $6k and $10k to fabricate a set for my car not including install. I will replace the B&B's every 10 years for the 2500 miles a year I drive.

Yeah, I would say that is an issue. How old are the headers? I would contact B&B and send them a copy of that.

Good Luck

ThunderC4S, you are missing out on the benifits of your engine spooling up sooner and laying down more torque alot earlier in the RPM band. It is worth every dime to make the switch. Even if you have to deal with cracks, Hopefully one can get over 2-3 years of service out of the B &B headers.. It is forums like this that can be used to put the pressure on them.

Klein will tell us shortly how long he has had his B&B'd installed...

I second that. Well worth the aggravation, even better with one of Kevin's turbos thrown in.

Can you guys tell me how the three header pipes come together inside of the heater box???? I called GHL and he said while not impossible it would be very unlikely that it was leaking exhaust INSIDE the heater box. So im wondering if the exhaust is coming out of those cracks (which are outside the heaterbox) and somehow just getting sucked back in the cabin what do you think???

I know that the temperatures can get are enormous over there but I wonder if using a flexible aluminium protected hose was fine or definitely i have to go to a tailor-made stainless steel tube. What did you use guys?

Thank you in advance, regards,

I'll take some pictures and post.

Headers are 3 years old but only about 2k miles on them. I sent them back to Gary at B&B seem to be very helpful. I bought the package and it came with all new heater stuff to hook up looks factory. I will update on what happens next.

Wow, that would put me off B&B for life unless they sorted out these issues.

As for the cracks I hope someone with more welding knowledge will comment but it looks to me as though there was no penetration in those welds of Jerry's. It looks like they missed one side of the joint.

Use the orange SCAT hose. We have no issues fitting the heater pipe. Don't use the cheap stuff you are showing in the pics. It will split and never fit.

Now, as far as dealing with B&B. This is why you deal with people like me to head issues off and make things good. I recently sent a muffler off of a 01 twin in. Clearly out of warranty...I got it taken care of. This is what we do. Also, while pricing has gone up, we have the advance of being one of the larger resellers for B&B. That means we have the ability to retain pricing from last year.

I have B&B on my 930.
