Default Forge 007P Diverter Valve Installed

My first mod so to speak..I just installed a Forge 007P (Black finish) Diverter Valve replacing the stock factory Bosch item.

What a difference. Smoother shifts, instant pickup between off/on throttle movements - it even takes off smoother from standing start (clutch/throttle transition).

I did some tests on the factory bosch unit and it appears to be stuck closed or barely opening when you pull vacuum through it. In any case the Forge unit opens nice and quickly when you pull the same amount of vacuum thru it.

Next mod - Install that 1 BAR boost spring...

You can buy a bleed valve or similar instead of chaging the spring. You just install it inbetween that pipe on the bottom, left handside of the intercooler. Damm easy to do and cheaper vs chaning the spring. Also if you want to go back to 0.8 bar you can buy adjusting the valve. Thirdly it builds boost much quicker because you dont get and boost creep with the wastegate opening and wasting that energy to build upto to max boost.

Make sure you have a boost gauage when you set the boost level on it.

Is this the control line that runs to the wastegate ?

Location wise - do you mean the hose on the top left hand side of the intercooler (visible in the photo) just below the capped off test plug (also on the top left) ?

Do you need to bleed excess into atmosphere or back into the intake side of the turbo ?

That should work fine, although I bit the bullet and bought a Blitz dual solenoid EBC.

I also use the Blitz dual solenoid, bought through Ebay for $200 usd.
Installed it in the console where the ashtray is (build-in), it looks great, I get an instant read on the boost, I get the "top" reading and I can dial in what ever boost I want from the drivers seat.

ThunderC4S, was that BOV a straight swap fit? And where do i order one from? When you say smoother shifts....did yours use to sort of do a surge when on boost then lifting off to shift??? Mine does and i dont like it, i am sure it is caused by the poor performance of the stock BOV.

Yes - the Forge BOV is a direct replacement - using all the original factory hose clamps.

You can order online from -:

http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...oduct=FMCL007P

It's hard to explain in words the difference but the transition between shifts feels much better - a definate improvement.

I am looking at BOVs and wondering what it takes to get the cool wooooosh sound.

I am guessing by recirculating, it is pretty quiet.

Yeah sounds kinda fast n furious but I like it.

Any thoughts? Probably just go with Forge.

ThunderC4S (John)

Well i ordered a BOV and have now fitted it, i had to fit a 4mm spacer under the spring to increase the spring pressure to stop the valve getting pushed off its seat, and i can confirm (just like your comments) that it is far superior to the stock bosch unit - much better response between shifts when on boost.

Cant wait to get the B & B's ;-)

You cant have an open air whoosh sound thingy with CIS, but the Forge BOV recuricalting ones do make some noise when shifting.

Fantastic - Did you get the spring kit with the spacers from Forge ?
