Idle air screw, never heard of it on these cars, coud be wrong though?
Do you mean the idle co screw, but that regulates the AFR at idle?

If the AFR is okey but your idle is to low it could be a problem with your AAV, very common.
I just changing mine for the second time in 5 years, the bi-metallic strip and the return spring for the valve seems to be the weakest links in this unit.

hi,

which is the large screw on the left hand side of the throttle body
thats correct, this screw is to adjust idle speed. co adjustment has to be done at the fuel distributor.

You will need a long screwdriver to reach the brass idle screw. If you are adjusting the AFR make sure the idle is set correctly first.

Good Luck

Thanks for the answers guys.

JBL, Yes I just want to adjust the tick over RPM.

I am adjusting the AFR also and would like to be sure I have the correct idle.

Thanks

No picture, but if you pull the IC it is on the rear LHS of the throttle body, cant miss it really, big spade type screw with the end opening into and open slot on the inside of the throttle body neck.

So i assume the car needs to be running to do this. No issues with the intercooler being off when you do this or do you need to adjust and then reassemble to check?
What is the consensus on idle RPM? I think mine was about 750 previously.

You should be able to adjust this with the intercooler on and the car idling.
