Did 964 turbos come with the rectangular "flag" mirrors or the more aerodynamic mirrors.

According to the 964 Enthusiasts Companion, the aero mirrors were introduced on the 1992 model year cars - so I guess the 1991 cars may have had the earlier style (though I've yet to see an example with them on!).

I have a 1991 with stock cup mirrors (more aerodynamic ones), haven't seen any 964 turbo without them.

I wonder if they were fitted to Turbo's as standard, before being brought out across the rest of the model range in '92?

Im pretty sure the AERO mirrors were standard on the turbo's. If i look at articles all the way back to the introduction of the car they all have them.

My '91 has aero mirrors, and I am pretty sure they are original (the paint sure looks old enough ).

IIRC the 964's got the aero mirrors in 1991. All pre 91 Porsches had the flag mirrors and from 91 on had the aero mirrors.
