Porshah - I saw your car at Paterek once. That color is great looking. Will you be at the Long Valley BBQ?

Craig

I just rotate my tach 90 degrees so it is easier to see. This way the red line is always at TDC.

Missed you again at the Concours event yesterday. Great showing although exhausted after running 7 runs back to back at the Meadowlands autocross An hour before. Chris at Prestige Porsche wants to give me a killer deal on a new 997TT if I trade him my 94.

I thought about it for a minute but decided I like the 94 too much.

I have been trying to get porshah to bring his car to the Concours events since he bought it. I have yet to be successful. I think we need a good showing this year so please bring it to Long Valley on the 13th of August. It would be great to line up all the 964 turbos for a group shot. We can do a patriotic Red White and Blue. shot.

I just did not feel like driving up there. Sat at the pool instead. I think you should get the 997TT. I have a 997 GT3 on order and I am sure I will get a 997TT once the frenzy is over. But I will not get rid of the 965.

You shouldn't have even thought about that for a second! Never sell that car. Never!

Colin,

I could never live with myself. I look back at the other cars I owned and get upset everytime I think about them. This car means far more to me and I am sure I would hate myself if I did.

Beides my 8 year old on his Birthday yesterday said when I get too old he would be happy to drive me around in the turbo. How could I miss out on that.

The new 997tt with that trick diff does look good fun though. More like our cars than the 993tt & 996tt.

Maverick - Yes, the exterior is Amethyst.

Anthony - My 5 year old says the same to me. I am not sure who grins more when I take him in the turbo!

I love that color, i used to have a '91 cab in Amethyst over Linen, with a Magenta Dash and Convertible top. I'll post a picture when I find them.

My 15 year old daughter pesters me every night "Dad, can we go for a drive in the Porsche?".

When I said to her, when she is 17 maybe i'll buy her an old 911, she says, "No, I'd rather wait, if I drive a 911 as my first car, then there is nothing else to go up to." Smart girl!!!

I have the chance of a 996 turbo steering wheel (inc airbag). Will it easily fit my 965?
