There is a slight lower spool but it kicks in hard and doesnt run out of air. I have had both and didnt really notice the lag with the K29. But you can rev it till red line... more power basically and a good rush

If you are considering the K29, consider the Hiflow turbos. See ImagineAuto or Kevin will likely chime in. Cost may be a factor, but many on Rennlist can attest to the gains with the Hiflow (which is a modded K27 that Kevin makes).

The normal K29 turbocharger that many tuners use to sell for the 930 was basically a hybrid using parts from 3 different turbochargers.. The K29 compressor wheel (flying brick), a K28 Diesel compressor housings, and a K27-turbine wheel and turbine housing.. The K29 compressor wheel is very inefficient, and yes it does generate air, it also generates alot of heat. Ruf decided to drop the larger K28 compressor housing and machine the K29 wheel into the K27 compressor housing.. Many others have followed. This was the actual platform that I started my development on for the Hyflow..

Thanks, but there's no map. BTW I have a K29 just like that, but with "regular" 12-blade comp wheel (83mm base diam).

83mm is the major diameter, 58mm is the inducer or inlet diameter..

Yes, that is correct. Base diam = overall diam
