Default Car feels slower

I dont know if its me getting used to it but im sure my car is a little slower- these larger wheels dont help but im sure ive got more power hidden.

Im going to hook up my zetronix soon to get the a/f ratio and see if she is running lean/rich...

anyone suggest other things i can check/try out easily wihout the obvious going to a dyno. I had a full service and valve adjustment 3k ago and my k29 is only 10k miles old - no smoke on start up or whilst driving...

Miles. Sure you are not just getting used to it now? I have thought that before, until someone in a big V8 has had a go that is. I found that using 98 gave better performance. Go and pick on someone in a fast rice burner or something! I know that in my car, bad fuel does make a difference though.

Is your boost okey ?

Is your CBV okey, check by driving at 4.000 rpm, should hear the CBV getting rid och air when when easing off the throttle.

Miles,
I feel that at times too. What I do is that I put it in first, floor it, put it into 2nd gear, hear the wheel spins and that puts the smile back on my face.

just been reading your posts about keeping the 930 inlet and not going 3.2.... ive had second thoughts as its a big project to undertake yourself I might stick with the current 930 inlet and get the thing running efi first- that will be a huge difference in itsself... if then i want more ill do the 3.2 but would look like ill have to strenghten the engine anyway for 550+ and then twin turbo it whilst im there... so for now im going to make it simpler.

Megasquirt yes - more for learning purposes and to see if its going to do the job... ill have all my sensors setup so if dont do something stupid i think i can give it a go safely- and for fine tuning ill take it to g-force or someone with good rolling road knowledge. I can only see and learn mate!

I remember reading about a Swiss guy (Vincent on this board knows the guy) with 964 turbo who was running 315 rear, said it made a big difference, slower acceleration.

Hmm, really regret I didn't go for LFW when changing the clutch.
