summax, glad you like the new K27 hyflow "S" Did you do the install?

If you do a search about the EFI kit that we are offereing, you will see that Stephen Geoffrey and myself will tune it specificallly for the Hyflows..

L8apex, the HF is much less lag comparing with the stock k27 and it spools all the way to redline pretty quick.
I did the installation myself. Had some problem with the oil line adapter (cracked) and Stephen solved quickly by nextdayed the part to me. The installation is very much simple bolt-on as long as you put 2 headers together before tightening the exhaust nuts. Don't forget to break-in the turbo first
No Kevin, I have not seen your EFI kit yet. I talked to Stephen a little bit about that. It would be nice if you provide more in detail. May be send me the link?
I did do the search and what i have found is Pat William kits.

How long did it take you to break the hyflow in? Again as in the instructions we want heat and cycle times to seat the dual sealing rings at the turbine side... A good break in will reap benifits down the road..

Kevin,
What would you consider a good break in for a turbo and how many miles?

Sameer, a minimum of 50 miles.. I like to see 100 miles. Normal street driving with little to no boost... Pull over and fill the car up with fuel, go to the store, whatever.. And 2 minutes of cool down!! Go stop and go driving.. What we want is as many heat cycle times that one can provide.

Again the K27 is blessed with dual sealing rings. We want both of them to seat..

thanks for the post. im now thinking of getting rid of my K29 and getting the HF S for my EFI conversion. the k29 does take a while to spoil up compared to the k27, so if the HF is better than the k27 and pulls harder than the k29 then wow something to look forward to!

Yes the HF does spool more air than the K29. I get full boost with my K29 at 3400revs.

Kevin
I followed the instruction ands instead of 50 miles break-in- just to be safe I extended the break-in process to 79 miles with no Boost.
We'll discuss about the EFI soon
Thank you.
