Default Price thoughts on my 91 Turbo

OK, folks, please don't try to talk me out of it. I've been trying to figure out how to keep my Turbo, but I just don't think it can happen.

So, I'm trying to figure out what to put it up for sale for. It's got B&B headers, 1 bar spring, and runs fantastically with 54k miles. Does anyone know what the most recent Excellence numbers are or have an adea of what I should ask? I was thinking $43k.

Thanks in advance. (And no, I'm not looking forward to the day it sells.)

Do you have pictures you can post? I'm not trying to imply that I am going to purchase the car, but they might be helpful in trying to establish value/price.

Thanks

Makes sense. Here's a few. Not my best work, but I haven't taken "ad" pics yet.

I know, I know Kevin. Sometimes we have to make compromises. The fiancee likes the 96 a lot but does not enjoy riding in the Turbo. Hence, the '91 stays in the garage most of the time. It just doesn't make financial sense to keep it, plus, someone should be driving this car.

John,

Prices for your cars have gone down a bit lately. Some were sold in the mid to high 30's.

You did not say if you have all and complete history of the car. That would help move the car faster. Paint condition (dents/scratches) is also a big thing.

I hope that you will get closest to your asking price. Those wheels are nice and worth a lot of money. You could put the original back on and sell these separately. These are just my opinions only.

Regards,

Sonny

Thanks Sonny. I'm thinking of selling the car with the Turbo Twists from the 993. Thanks for your opinion - that's what I'm looking for. I didn't want to turn this into an ad, but the paint shines deeply and I have the history of the car, including a huge file of receipts, etc. from the PO so that shouldn't be an issue.

Beauty John!

It should bring $40k. I would not take anything less!

John - Looks like a very nice car. Good luck with the sale.

I also have a 91 black turbo and have been looking to upgrade my wheels.

Would you be interested in selling yours or making a trade for my stock 17" wheels?

It depends on how fast you want to sell it. $40K - $43 is definately at the upper end. It may take many months to sell at that price, especially if you put twist wheels on it.

Price it at $35K - $38K and you will probably sell within a month or two.

As always thanks for the opinions.

Shawn, I'll either sell the Turbo with the Rufs or keep them for the 993.

You have a beautiful Turbo, and those RUF wheels really look great.

John, Very nice! put that on Autotrader for 42K and I think it will sell in a week or two at 35-38K.

I looked at a 91 with 50K in my area and the guy was asking 45K I offered him 38K and he looked at me as if I was crazy! So I walked and told him good luck with the sell, last I checked he still had the car.

He has been trying to sell it for over 9 months now at 45K.

Sweet lookin Turbo you have there. My suggestion is that I'll trade you straight up for my '93 C2 . Good luck with the sale!!
