Yep, its a '94 3.6 with 36,000 miles on it - in very nice shape. I traded in my '00 996 for it (only had the 996 for 2 months - I guess I'm not a water-cooled fan).
And thank you for the kind welcome - Seems like a great place to hang out.

I agree - the Guards Red is just beautiful with those huge fender flairs. I'd be happy with any of the other (more exotic) colors that people here have... but Guards Red is beautiful, and the condition of the car was too nice to pass up!

Welcome aboard Kevin,
Polsihed Speedlines too. An added bonus. Good Luck with it.
So no other 964 Turbos at the Concours today although a very nice Carrera GT did show up. Carrera GT Silver with Tabacco Interior. Not too shabby. Didn't realize how big they were until I had it sitting near my tiny little turbo. Boy they sound nice.
There were some very nice cars in all. I got a first place with 222.5 out of 225 points. I love the Speedline wheels but no matter how many times you clean them they always get you fo Brake dust. They also found a little dirt around the top of the ABS pump.
Guess I can't complain.
Keep the pictures coming

Hi Cobalt,
Thank you for the welcome and the comments. I'm still new to 964 turbos - but thought all of the Speedlines on the 1994's were the same. You mentioned that mine are polished - were they available in different finishes? Or, had the dealer just spent a little extra time shining them up? If they were available in different finishes, what's the most common?
Thank you,
Kevin (always learning - I'm a Porsche sponge)

Congrats Cobalt good score and not so bad you didn't max out so you have room to improve
9-kevin-11 welcome, sweet ride now you can start the process of feeding your wallet to her, upgrades not problems If you haven't heard of it yet look for Adrians book Porsche 911 : enthusiasts companion for the 964. It is published by Bentley publishers. Search the board for a link.

Nathan,
Everyone is welcome, we all share a common interest here. Besides you picked a great color. . Damn that 3.8RS tail looks great in blue. Now I want one.
Kevin,
The stock wheels were painted silver in the center for an additional charge of about $350 you could have them polished or painted in a different color. I agree you should invest in Adrians book, it spells out everything you want to know about the 964 and turbo models with lots of helpful hints and advice.
Maverick,
You show your car so you know no matter how much you clean and fix there is always room for improvement. Each time you go back they will find something new. Hell you have to drive these things and I will always sacrifice points for driving. That damn autocross really made me work hard for this one. These shows are a great excuse to clean your cars thoroughly.

Thanks Anthony. I really like your car too.
Here's another pic of Miles's 965 I took at the Porsche Club GB Festival recently.
I took the top picture of the two pics that he posted earlier.
Another great looking car and a nice guy.

The problem is Sameer that I don't want to trade I want to collect them all. I wish I could buy them like my son collects matchbox cars.
Nathan, Yes miles car is a beauty. He has done some great things to it. BTW any more shots of your car from different angles of the tail. I think I might be catching Miles mod bug.

I second that!!! I'd like to have a whole set of these things - this car is wonderful!! Thanks for the info about the Speedlines - I didn't know there were differences (I've already got Adrian's book - and I'm reading it as fast as I can. I also got Bentley's Technical Data book).
Oh, I also meant to mention this: my dealer said that the last turbo 964 that they had for sale was cobalt - it was sold to someone down in Florida. I'm not sure how long ago it was - but I think I noticed in another post that you were wondering if you had the only cobalt turbo... there may be one more for you to collect!
Sameer,
I've only had it for 3 days - I'm not ready to trade yet!! Its a wonderful car!

Anthony, my car is in pieces due to new turbo, headers and IC. Will take more pics when I get it running again and polish it up. I have the engine cover removed at the moment
Miles, "good photography skills" I have to admit it was just luck, but I am sure the subject helped and made all the difference !
