911 2,
Great looking Turbo!
I'm sure that the state troopers don't even notice you when you go by with that subtle wing!

it looks like a knn but seems to be a whole unit i will find out what it is
ive just been back from the rollers car kicks out 320-330 bhp at 302llb/ft torque i didnt think it was very good considering its running at 1 bar and performance exhaust and headers the guy running it is very experienced and said exhaust 1 bar spring and induction kit will give you no extra power until the fuel can be mapped which on the 965 it cant be mapped unless you change all the engine management to mototronic i always thoughtan increase in boost and better exhaust and headers would give a noticeable difference im disappointed if i cant do anything without changing the engine management and that costs around 4000 pounds us dollars i would think around 6-7k

That seems odd.
Does a 1991 turbo need tuning in engine management? Even FVDs stage 3 (400 bhp) doesnt include that. Stage 1 includes power-flow kit and 1 bar boost spring(350 bhp). Stage 2 adds Sport camshafts(375 bhp).

thats what i have a power flow kit is this a black unit with red cotton type induction kit this guy is very experienced so i dont know why he has given this advice if stage 1 is as you have said whats in stage 2 and 3 i dont know if them figures were at the wheels or at the fly wheel i shall ring and ask so is hpould be producing 350bhp
whats the torque of a standard 1991 c2 turbo 3.3 due to cooling issuses he said i can add another 10 bhp when driving on the road

911 2 "guy running it is very experienced and said exhaust 1 bar spring and induction kit will give you no extra power until the fuel can be mapped" this guys is not very experienced with our cars with a statement like that. From a stock setup, adding a 1 bar boost spring with an increase in the CO's +2.0-3 will give the car +30 hp alone.

I ran a 1.0 bar spring (stock setup) before all of my mods and saw +36rwhp and +30 ft/lbs on the dyno.

the C0 on the 965 are all ecu controlled they can only be adjusted for idle myn is running at 0.5% at idle this guy is very well known in the uk for his tuning to porsches but i also thought boost increase to a point plus exhaust and induction kit increases power i will try and scan in my torque/power curve

911 2,
I'm sorry but by that guy saying it will give you no extra power is the biggest BS. Off course it will give you power and help your turbo spool up earlier. Any good tuner will tell you the same. Set your CO to about 3-4%, have your car checked inside out for any leaks whatsoever and your car is upto spec. the numbers your geting are at the rear wheels so multiply that by 15%(drivetrain loss) and thats what your real numbers are at the flywheel. Basically if you got 330bhp x 15%=379bhp which is GOOD!!. Way to go.

the flywheel figure is 317 bhp i dont know if the uk bhp is the same as the us but its around 233kw at the fly wheel and 186.5kw (255bhp) at the wheels co 0.5% at idle holding 1 bar of boost all through the rev range max power at 3000 revs and the torque then stays roughly aroynd 408nm (317bhp) until 5550revs at which point the torque starts to decrease

Those are some good looking pictures of some great cars. I've always liked the 911 silhouette. It is a very photogenic shape, lending itself well to pictures, and of course looking fantastic in the metal.
