I posted in the turbo market thread, but was advised to start a new thread on my car.
I picked up a 1991 964 turbo from BaT in November. Forest green metallic with around 90k on the odometer.
It’s in pretty decent shape for the age and mileage and has been at Olsen Motorsport for a month now getting some things taken care of.
Started with paint correction, ceramic coating, and ppf. Fixed some interior trim issues like switches and ignition surround. They installed new brakes all around as well as new pilot sport 2’s. Installed a Rothsport short shift kit as well as fd golden rod. The cars front under valance was bent a bit on one side as well and they are addressing that now hopefully!
Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself to the community and post some images of the car.
cheers!

What a lovely color.
I don't think that looks too bad. Exhausts usually corrode, the heat accelerates the oxidization process. My car had some rust on the exhaust but literally nowhere else (I know since I took it down to bare metal)
I recently bought my dad a 964 turbo as well. And it’s now going to be at the shop for about 6 months getting sorted out. But I’m sure the old man will love it once it’s ready to rip.
2 great colors. Is that Amethyst over Magenta? Looks like a friends car he sold about 15 years ago. Any chance you picked this up from Sloan?
Congrats to booth on nice purchases.
You would be correct Cobalt, it is Amethyst over Magenta, the particular color combination made me want to jump on it. This was a Grand Prix Motors pick up, everything went pretty well, car has good bones but it needs work to bring it back to it's former glory, but don't they all? Ran out of garage space, so bought it for my dad which gives me hopefully a long time to figure out the storage situation when it makes it's way back to me along with his 996 GT2.
Beautiful color, JP. Looks like your dad is out of storage space now too, you can store future purchases at my garage lol!
Haha, it does look that way, but he has another two stalls on the other side. But yes he has about 6 months to clear out a lot of S**t from that garage before the car is ready to come home. I don't think he was expecting it to be so wide at the hips? But it's the big daddy as you well know. Congrats again on your Forest Green. Best, Jorge
met a guy with lots of porsches a wile ago. 997, 993 turbo, …
he asked me about my car and wondered: you really drive it? great! one of the last on the street driven daily to work or so. please keep on doing so…
that is the problem with this cars: more and more end up at collections and roll out once a year for a club event only.

Yea that is a shame that happens to a lot of these cars. I make it a point to drive all of my cars. I have a thing on whatever I collect if it doesn't get used it gets sold. I would rather put that money into something else if it's not being used for it's intended purpose. When I saw this car I thought. What a great car one that my dad can drive the wheels off of it, then it eventually becomes my car that I take my daughter out in and then a long time down the road it becomes her car. That will be a special car for her at that point. I actually buy my cars with the vision on which child will get what when my time on this earth is over, hopefully a long long time from now God willing.
