Default 965 1993 Turbo wheels fitment question

Hello mates.

plan to order forged wheels for 965 turbo 1993 year

have Current wheels by SSR GT03

front is unknown (no sticker) but seems 8,5j +42 on Advan 052 235/40/18

rear is sticker 11,5 +35 on 315/30/18 with 20mm spacers = means have 11,5 +15 rear

ive checked forum and this seems either mistake on sticker or may be car has not stock fenders or axle

what could you suggest for perfect fitment for new wheels?

tires will be same 235/40/18 315/30/18

thanks

If I compare the offset of the rear rim with the stock speedline wheels I would first find out which rear axle is in the car. Whether your configuration looks better as the stock solution I would leave to the inclined viewer.

Front 8 J 18 offset 52mm and rear 10 J 18 offset 61mm (stock Speedline Wheels). No spacers at the front and 10mm in the rear.

thanks, so your rear wheels are 18x10 +51 offset on 295/30/18 tires right?
my set rear is 11,5 +35 (as written on wheel sticker) +20mm spacer with 315/30/18 tires = 11,5 +15

this means that my wheel: The tire will stick out 46 mm farther. Rim will stick out 55 mm farther.

but comparing your photo and my photo the position of rear wheel is approximately same. There is no 5cm difference in wheel position . This is strange for me

My result:

254/2-61+10=76
and
292/2-35+20=131
each wheel hub to the outer edge.

So 55 mm difference and that corresponds to the optical impression.

My rear tyre size is 265/35/18.

There have only ever been two rear axles for the 964, N/A and Turbo. The track widths (measured from wheel center to wheel center) were 1374mm with 8“ rims (N/A) and 1488mm with 10“ rims (turbo), i.e. 114 mm difference. And 55 x 2=110. Is it possible that your car has the N/A rear axle? I would doubt that 315 tyres on 11,5" rims will fit the turbo axle.

@997 tt/rs: wheel alignment has been set to factory specs recently. Camber is -1degree +- 10' min.

may be NA axle, I don’t know how to check.
so NA rear axle is narrower? This means my wheels sticker 11,5 +35 is correct?

Yes, looks like it's the narrow axle. Then the rim sticker would also be plausible.

If it's a 965 3.6 maybe a previous owner had the narrow axle installed to mount the 315 to 11.5".

The only way to fit anything wider than a 10.5 in the rear of a turbo is NB trailing arms and axles.

Here is my car using 9 1/2ET57 fronts and 11ET5 speedline rears. This is the standard 3.8RS/RSR stup and wheels. In this case the 9 1/2 fronts are RSR vs the std 9" fronts but both use the NB trailing arms. I can fit as much as 12" wide in the rear with correct offset. This is wearing 305 slicks. BTW the correct setup would use the wide turbo front track width with narrow rears.

Beautiful 3.6T BTW. Looks like the front uprights might have been upgraded to 993. Appears to be using the 993 front turbo rotors which are 5mm different offset.
