Unhappy Is this my fuel pump (turn on sound)

I haven't done any wrenching in a year, I'm sure I knew the answer to this 12-24 months ago. Hah.

Is this my front fuel pump screaming? Intermittent, but screams sometimes with ignition switch on, for 5 seconds - 30 seconds.

(Wait for second ignition switch on, why Vimeo won't let me trim this grr.

unplug the fan (in rear fender well) on the side the noise is coming from, see if it stops.

Gosh should I use an OEM unit for $730 (EACH SIDE) or the Dansk for $215?

What's the easy way to jump each engine fan to turn on/off?

Hey bud, Happy New Year,

Remove the rear fuse panel, there are two relays, one for each blower, remove the relays and use a jump wire to test.

Wicks,

The fan should only come on when you have the heater switched on and turned to red. Sometimes the relays get stuck on all the time even with e heat turned off, which means you have been running the **** out of the blower motor and may have caused it to overheat and go bad. Just a thought my friend.

Oh crazy, well the engine always runs super cool even on hot days. I thought these fans were also engine temp controlled as in they will also run just if the engine temp gets up to levels.

How to jump these? Hah. Have the relays off and jumping from side to side and every which way can't get the fans to fire up.

I believe this is the relay info you need, You may need to turbo the key to the on position.

Yes already tried that above thanks. Pin 87 has power, jumping it to any other pin does nothing. ?

You get this resolved?

Also - got a laugh out of the music. Talk about being "period correct" with the Duran Duran

Problem won't recur since then. So when it starts screaming again, will be able to sort. Glad you dug the tunage. Nothing like an old 80s cassette playing!
