crazy times in buying vintage cars. a guy i know bought a ralley golf II at double of the amount i payed for my first hand, 45 thousand miles 964 turbo ten years earlier. he is happy about a bargin he got.
my brother in law bought a 928 ( one of the first 150 ever ) that time for about 5000 euro. today it is about 7 times the price. a nice bug changes owner at 20-30 thousand with sunroof. i payed 1000$ for a unwelded, still running oval bug example.
so i sit and wait for the next crash and hand out for new toys then...

I have been guilty of not driving my cars as much as I would like. Although I am glad I never sold due to lack of time. I find eventually I make the time and lately my 928 has had my attention. Next year it might be something else. So long a you maintain them they are good for whenever the impulse arises.

Considering people are selling Speedlines for $20k I am not sure what the seller is thinking by offering to sell the car with the original cupI's which are readily available. Speedlines are out of stock AFAIK.

This Midnight Blue/grey 3.6 will be going up for auction next month at the Pebble Beach Gooding and Company auction. Not many details on it with only a few pictures at the moment. Gooding also sold this car at the Pebble Beach auction in 2015 for $275k.
