Default Whats my car worth?

Evil thoughts.. thinking of selling. Interested in your opinions on realistic value:

1991
Black on black
3 owners (me for the last 12yrs)
105k miles (purchased with 40k and put approx 65k on over the 12yrs)
Extensive service records
Upgraded suspension, headers, WG, exhaust, gear ratios, steering wheel.
Original headers, exhaust, steering wheel, gear ratios, toolkit etc still with the car.
Runs great, starts first time every time, pulls very strong
Interior extremely clean - no way you would guess 100k miles
Exterior good: small stone chips on hood, other small imperfections if you get up close in good light

Been actively solicited to sell many times.. now actually thinking about it. What do you think it is realistically worth?

Thanks
Matty

Without setting my own eyes on the car directly,... I'd say list it at $100k, and take $95k ish (or slightly lower depending on how hard the negotiation goes).

Take a glance at mmporsche's attempt to sell his.... https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...seats-lsd.html

MMPorsche here. For further clarification on Steve's comment, I posted my car last year at the beginning of a legal separation that quickly turned into a divorce case. The court stopped me from selling the car last year and the divorce is still pending until next month. I had many interested parties at $110K, I just couldn't legally sell the car.

Good luck, Matty!

Thanks MMPorsche.. sorry to hear about your situation. I guess the good news is you still have the car!

Yes clutch replaced, but no motor work or rebuild. Lots of proactive maintenance - have not tallied (for the obvious reasons) but probably well north of 40k in receipts and all work performed by air-cooled experts (Jerry Woods, RMC, etc).

This car would make a great driver for the right price.

Thanks. The local consignment place here in SF suggested around 100-105 to me meaning they would probably list at 115-120.

Feels a little high, but typical clientele here have deep pockets and the 930s and 964s in desireable color combos and mostly stock do see a premium so who knows.

Weird thing to say.. but I would want to know it ends up with someone who will really enjoy and take care of it. Almost like adopting out a child!!

If those are factory speedlines I would add another $5-7K assuming in good condition and etching is sill present.

Default Hagerty Onlinr Appraisal

I would recommend that you look at Hagerty’s online valuation tool. Its for free and is what most collectors use to appraise their classics. Easy to use site and what I like is the different categories / pricing that they give based on the condition of your car. Here’s the link and hope you find it useful.

Default similar car to yours

Btw, I just recently bought a similar car to yours. It’s a 1992 Black 3.3 Liter engine with 60k miles on it. It had 3 previous owners and is well taken care of (no modifications of accidents). I paid $118k for the car back in May. Since your example has higher mileage, it would be worth slightly lower in my opinion ($100-110k).

I have to laugh at Hagerty. If you look at the valuations for a 1991 in #1 condition they value it at $290k and a 1993 (no 94MY??) A #1 is valued at $279k. (-10% for tiptronic????????) I think that speaks volumes about the value of their valuations.
