Decided to stop into the dealership & take a look at this one tonight,... on my way through...
Very nice shape. many indicators that this one truly does only have 16.5k miles. Nice low key dealership too. I probably spent 5 minutes poking around the car before a SR asked if I had any questions.
Here's a few things I noticed;...
- The round ignition key-insert plate & the leather just beneath it are in excellent shape. clearly no dangling key chains chewing at this area.
- The paint is very nice. the only noticeable ding is that little spot that I highlighted with the yellow arrow in the last pic of my post #6 above (just in front of the driver front tire).
- The clear film is on the front clip only (bumper, hood, fenders & mirrors). Very well done. difficult to see any edges.
- The side window glass looks to have a tint applied.
- The shark fin valance also has film. The original OEM clear on the front side of the rear quarters (just above the shark fin), is cloudy. Probably original.
- The underside of the engine is very clean.
- The inside lip (painted lip) of both front fenders has single dents on both sides, that look like a previous owner ran over something large that kicked up into the fender well & dented the metal. I'm sure a good body guy with a fender roller could straighten it out. Strange that it was on both sides.
- Rear whale tail rubber was in very good shape. Very little evidence of any time under the UV sun.
They did not open the car for me. It was locked.
I only spent 15 minutes inside the showroom.

Hey Steve, I hope you're enjoying your trip. Just couldn't resist stopping to check it out, huh! Thanks for giving it a glance and providing further details. Strange about the dents on the inside front fenders. I wonder if dentless repair could fix it. When I picked up my cpo TTS, I noticed the slightest little dent on top of the passenger side front fender. You could barely even feel it but catching it in the right light made it visible. The dealer had a dentless repair guy come in who fixed in literally a couple of minutes and it was perfect afterward. if I have time over the next couple of weekends, I may take a drive down to check this out.

Funny, I pass usually once a week in front of this dealership. Just to see their Porsche in the showroom...
I live in Port Washington, 10 miles from Roslyn.
Stop one day to see the price of this 964 Turbo, Holly Molly but mileage is really low...
So Steve, ready to buy it? :-)

haha,... well it's not THAT much nicer than mine,...
but would I turn down a trade even-steven??? No no no.
plus, I have no guilt or heartburn to drive mine. That one will sit for the rest of it's life.

Made my way to Texas via a very circuitous route. I don't miss the snow in NY!
